ABOUT
THE ARTIST
Christine was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in Bucks County,
Pa. An educator at heart, she pursued her two loves of art and
teaching. Christine received her BS in Art Education from Kutztown
University in 1984. Shortly after graduation, she took her first
teaching position in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. While there,
she was introduced to the incredible hues of the tropics; these
colors are ever present in Christine’s creations.
She continued teaching after returning to the mainland in the
mid 80’s. She has taught art in Plainfield, New Jersey and
Hialeah, Florida. Christine has maintained a studio in Miami since
moving there in 1989. The artist is presently the Ceramics Instructor
at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami. Christine is married
and is the mother of two boys, Matthew 13 and Joshua 11.
